Snowdrops are little cuties and are one of the first bulbs to herald the coming of spring, they will even bloom during a snowstorm! They have small white umbrella-shaped flowers that hang like a little lantern over straps of dark green leaves. Snowdrops are excellent for use in borders, woodland gardens, or naturalizing in your lawn. They are also beautiful paired with crocuses. They are a very easy-to-grow bulb and will give you joy for years to come! Deer resistant.

PLANTING GUIDE

Galanthus woronowii

Perennial, Zones 3-9

Bulb Planting Depth: 3”

Height: 6-8

Spacing: 12 bulbs per square foot, 2-4” apart

Light Needs: Full sun to light shade

Soil Needs: Average to fertile, moist well-drained

Bloom Time: Late winter- early spring 

Uses: Flower beds, rock gardens, containers, cut flowers, wild gardens, and naturalizing, under trees and shrubs, on the edges of woods or garden spaces, deer resistant 

Care: Amend soil with compost before planting. Feed with a granular flower bulb fertilizer at planting time or in the spring when the leaves emerge. Cut back spent flowers and allow foliage to die back naturally before removing it (4-6 weeks after flowering). Dig up and divide congested clumps every few years.
