Carpet of Snow Alyssum

Lobularia maritima

Tiny white flowers blanket these 6 inch plants very quickly. Phenomenal spreader, one plant can grow a foot wide in a couple of months. Hardy annual, plant seedlings out a few weeks before last frost for very early blooms. Keeps blooming through many frosts in fall, too.    80 seeds.

Germination:   7-10 days

Seed Planting Depth:  On surface, gently press into soil.

Starting Indoors/Outdoors:  Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Provide 65-75 degree soil temperature. Outdoors in mid to late spring when soil temperatures reach 55-60 degrees.

Height and Width:  4-6" x 10-12"

Spacing:  6-8" apart.

Light Needs :  Full sun, light shade in hot areas.

Soil Needs :  Average to rich, well drained.

Approximate days to flower from seed:  50-60 days

Uses:   Flower beds borders, containers, rock gardens, attracts bees and beneficials.
