This is quite a large dianthus with plant size going up to 15 inches and blooms approaching 2 inches across. The frilly flowers come in a mixture of pink, red, purple, and rose, and all possess a delightfully spicy fragrance.

Perennial, Zones 5-9

Germination: 7-10 days

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 65-75ºF

Seed Planting Depth: Sow on surface and lightly cover seeds

Starting Indoors: Start indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost. Provide 65-75ºF soil temperature. Transplant after the last frost, 12" apart. 

Sowing Outdoors: Direct sowing is not recommended for flowers in the first season.
