Great germination!

Red Wing onion seeds germinated well and are already nearly big enough to plant out in our garden and maybe some in a big patio pot - much easier to keep weeded in a big pot!

Onion seeds

I have grown onions from Pinetree’s seeds in my zone 4 garden for several years now. They are the best! I start in cells, close together, trimmed to about 3” under lights a couple months before planting out. I end up with organic sweet onions to use all winter. Pinetree’s customer service is great too!

red wing flies above the others

I have been growing this variety for several years. I find it reliable and easy to grow. It is superior in flavor and is about the best red keeper I have ever had. It is getting late in February and I still have several braids of these beautiful red onions hanging in my pantry. They are still firm and do not yet show a hint of growth.
