Plum Regal Tomato ( 75 days, F1 Hybrid )

2

Determinate

First time for us offering a plum tomato with a strong disease resistance package. Blocky fruits grow on medium sized plants. We found this one perfect for a bounty of late season tomatoes for that last batch of canning sauce or salsa.  10 seeds

Disease Resistance- Fusarium races 1 & 2 , Late Blight , Verticillium , Early Blight

PLANTING:

Germination-7-14 Days

Indoors- 6 weeks before last frost, 1/4” deep with soil temperatures 75 degrees. Liquid fertilize seedlings every 7-10 days. Transplant out 24-36” apart after last frost when soil is 55-60 degrees and night temperatures are over 45 degrees.

Harvest- When fruit is red (or color of the variety planted) and firm.

Tips-Plant in fertile soil, amended with compost, mulch and provide even moisture. Plant deeper than they were growing in the containers as it makes a stronger roots system. Apply a light compost tea every few weeks. Do not apply excessive nitrogen, which can promote excessive foliage and poor fruit set.

These tomatoes are coming is plump and juicy! One of them is 3 inches thick! They're going to be fantastic for sauce.

You Gotta Try This One

We had grown Roma VFs in our garden for years to use for sauces and canning, but decided to try Plum Regals as a replacement last year. We were rewarded with a huge crop from our 9 plants, more than enough for our needs. The yield, flavor, quality of the fruit, and disease resistance were all better than any Roma crop we had ever planted. I highly recommend this variety, based on our first experience with it.
