ALL YEAR ROUND LETTUCE (53 days)

2

Germ 4-10 days
Very popular in England and Australia. As the name implies it can be sown at any time – spring to fall and will be slow to bolt. The crisp, tight hearts are an appealing light green with the centers appearing a bit blanched. 500 seeds

PLANTING:

Indoors- 3-4 weeks before planting outside. Sow 1/4” deep in cells with soil temps 55-70 degrees. Transplant out 8-12” apart.

Outdoors- Sow 1/4” “deep, 1” apart. Thin to 6-12”, depending on the size of lettuce you want from baby to full heads. Keep moist during germination.

Harvest- cut whole head at base or individual leaves before lettuce starts to bolts and becomes bitter in the heat and long days summer.

Tips- Plant into fertile soil with lots of organic matter and adequate water for optimum growth. Sow heavy seeded rows every 10-14 days for baby greens using the 1 oz. Pinetree Lettuce Mix for a season long supply of lettuce.

All Year Round lettuce

This by far my favorite lettuce. It has a long life. It is slow to bolt and has a delicate flavor that exceeds the quality of other types. The leaves are crispy and mild, a good salad variety.

A Perfect Lettuce!

This is hands down one of my favorite lettuces! It germinated well and has been thriving in the garden. It has nice meaty leaves making it great for sandwiches, salads and small lettuce wraps. It has held up super well during a long heat spell. I watered it morning and evening and it's in shade during late afternoon. I have only been harvesting the outer leaves but they keep producing every 2-4 days as long as I keep them watered. This variety will definitely be a staple in my garden! Highly recommended!
