Queen Red Lime Zinnia

Zinnia elegans

One of the most original and lovely zinnia colors we have seen. Each flower has a slightly different color variation; light burgundy to a smokey pink with an undertone of light green in the centers.Mix of full double semi and some single flowers, 2-3”.

 20 seeds

Germination: 7-10 days

Seed Planting Depth: Lightly cover

Starting Indoors: Start indoors 4-8 weeks before the last frost. Provide 70-80 degree F soil temperature. Transplant into the garden after last frost. Water seedlings regularly until established.

Outside Sowing: After last frost when soil is over 70 degrees F. Sow a few seeds every 6-12". Thin to the most robust seedlings. For shorter growing seasons they will bloom toward the end of the summer. We like to start seeds both ways, indoors and outdoors for an earlier and longer blooming.

Growth Habit: Upright and branching

Height and Width: 30-40"

Spacing: 6-12 " apart

Light Needs:  Full sun, part shade in hot climates

Soil Needs:  Loose, rich, well drained

Approximate days to flower from seed: 75-80 days

Uses: Cut flowers, butterfly gardens

Care:  Mix compost into the soil before sowing or transplanting. Pinch back plants when they are young for a bushy growth habit. Deadhead to encourage more blooms.

I like Pinetree but the

I like Pinetree but the amount of seeds in the packets have been very few, less than any other packets I have received from other growers. And, tough viable, some of the squash and cucumber seeds have not looked very good. They have, however, grown. I will continue to order from you. Your Blue Lake green beans are true to their nature unlike most others that I have ordered. Thank you, Lynne Trew
