Ice Lettuce

$ 2.25

Succulent, fleshy leaves are covered with frosted dew-like bubbles. Known as Ficoïde Glacial in French, the Ice Lettuce is often featured in gourmet seafood dishes. Has a slightly acidic salty tang with a hint of lemon. Use raw in salads for a crunchy refreshing addition, cook like spinach, pickle, or use your culinary creativity with this versatile green. The Ice Lettuce is a great green for hot summers as it grows very well in hot, dry conditions. Can be intermingled with ornamental plantings with its odd noticeable foliage which then matures to airy daisy like flowers.
