Bring in the Butterflies Collection
A collection of annuals and perennials that will lure the butterflies to your garden. Create a habitat in your yard to help support butterflies and beneficials. Growing milkweed provides a place for the larva of the monarch butterfly to start life, while zinnia and cosmos flowers contribute their sweet nectar as a food source. The vibrant flowers of Tithonia also called Mexican sunflowers not only attract other types of butterflies but beneficial pollinators as well. Echinacea or Purple Coneflower, the most well-known among native perennial plants, supplies nourishment for our beloved butterflies and bees and will also be attractive to foraging birds. By growing a garden for our winged friends we can help provide food sources while bringing beauty into our yards and neighborhoods.
