Verbascum Mix

Also known as Mullein the plants are 3 to 3 1/2' tall and covered with a pretty mix of white, rose, red, and violet blooms all along the stalk in the spring. The graceful flower spikes rise above the crinkly bright green rosette of leaves and when cut back the stalks will shoot up and bloom again for a second and even a third time.

germination

So far I have seen no germination of the pye eye joe, verbascum and salpiglossis and Ivory towers. Darn. I would love to have those plants.Onions lettuce and peas doing fine. they have had time to be growing. My key board is acting up. Sorry for the sloppy.

Pinetree Garden Seeds

Hello Karen, We apologize that you have had issues with germ. Joe pye weed can be difficult to germ as they do require a period of cold to germinate properly. We do have a 90 day germination guarantee so we are happy to replace the seed or refund. Thank you! Matthew

Fantastic!

Germination rate was top notch. I love verbascum but pretty mixes are hard to find. I started under lights Jan. 2021. Gifted seedlings to friends. Kept a lot. Transplanted in early April. Got my first bloom July 2021 in zone 8. It was lavender and gorgeous- see picture. I couldn’t be happier!! Like most verbascum- they’ll get to their natural height next season.

It's coming alone. Cut little seedlings.

So far, so good. There wasn't a high germination rate, but that's okay.

Verbascum seeds need cold stratification for at least 30 days

Verbascum seeds need a cold treatment for about a month before starting seed.
