Magic Carpet Mix Snapdragon

7-8 inch plants produce a wide variety of colors, including reds, pinks, whites, and a host of others. This dwarf variety is quite early to flower and makes an ideal addition to any border.

PLANTING

Antirrhinum majus 

Annual

Germination: 7-14 days

Germination Temperature:Optimum soil temperatures 70-75ºF

Seed Planting Depth: Sow on the surface and lightly press in, seeds need light to germinate

Starting Indoors: Start indoors 6-10 weeks before the last frost. Provide 65-75ºF soil temperature. Transplant after last frost, 10-12” apart

Sowing Outdoors: Direct sow outdoors 2 weeks before the last frost. Sow 3-5 seeds every 3-12"

Growth Habit:Mounding

Height and Width:6-8” by 8-12”

Spacing:10-12" apart

Light Needs: Full sun, light shade

Soil Needs:Average, well-drained

Approximate days to flower from seed: 100-110 days

Uses: Containers, bedding plants, attracts pollinators

Care: Water seedlings regularly until established. Amend soil with compost before transplanting. Cut back stems as the blooms fade, this encourages more flower production.Fertilize with a liquid fertilizer every few weeks.

    Wonderful!

    I planted these in late May, they just started blooming. Very easy to grow, they have handled the heat and humidity beautifully. I great addition to my container garden.
