Verbena bonariensis was very slow to grow once germinated, but having seen it floating whimsically above other flowers in other gardens, I gave it a chance. This particular strain of seeds produced flowers that could barely be seen. They were practically without petals, and the color was drab and visually receding. This Verbena has a reputation for reseeding, so I have pulled them all up, not wanting seed to germinate in the coming years. If any do germinate in the garden, I will consider them a **** and compost them pronto. It looks like a **** in the garden anyway. If you like Verbena bonariensis, look for a different strain than this one.
