The 3 ' high plants carry a multitude of 4 "flattened clusters, blooming in shades of rose, pink, apricot to cream. Plant in groups for the most effective display. This variety dries well for arrangements and nice for fresh cut flowers.

PLANTING

Achillea millefolium

Perennial, zone 3-9

Germination: 7-21 days

Seed Planting Depth: Sow on the surface and press into soil, seeds need light to germinate. 

Starting Indoors:  Start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Provide 60-65ºF soil temperature. 

Sowing Outdoors: Direct sow early to mid-spring and fall. Sow a few seeds every 4-6", thin to 12-18” apart.

Spacing: Transplant 12-18" apart

Growth Habit: Upright

Light Needs:  Full sun 

Soil Needs:  Average, well-drained

Approximate days to flower from seed: Blooms the second year, but often blooms the first season when started early indoors. 

Uses: Cottage and wildflower gardens, attracts pollinators, cut flowers, herbal medicine, drought-resistant 

Care: Water seedlings regularly until established. Deadhead or cut back midsummer to encourage new blooms. Do not over-fertilize, causes excessive leaf growth, and little to no flowers. Divide plants every 5 years
