In use since biblical times, the herb is thought to be named after St. John the Baptist. Starting Indoors/Outdoors: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Provide 70-75 degree soil temperatures.Transplant 8-10" apart. Sow outdoors in the spring or in the fall, a few seeds 1-2", thin to 8-10" apart.
