Grown mostly for curiosity this plant is entertaining for all ages. The phenomenal fern like leaves fold up and droop when touched, shaken or blown on and will end up growing puffy little pink flowers. It is best planted in containers during summer and can be as a houseplant. Be aware that this plant is remarkable, but also has toxic alkaloids, provide supervision if showing to young children.
Germination: 6-14 days , soaking seeds 12-24 hours aids in a quicker germination time.
Seed Planting Depth: Sow on surface, press in, lightly cover.
Starting Indoors: Start indoors 6-10 weeks before the last frost. Provide 70-85 degree F soil temperature. Transplant into the garden or container after the last frost. Water seedlings regularly until established.
