The Saltwort Greens are a traditional Japanese culinary herb and green, native to the salt marshes of Japan. Long, thin & crunchy leaves with a fresh and very slight salty taste. Use for salads and sushi, steam the older shoots or pick extremely young for micro greens. Saltwort Greens are rich in both vitamins and minerals.

Germination: 7-14 days
Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 70-75ºF.
Seed Sowing Depth: ¼" deep
Sowing Indoors: Start 3-4 weeks before planting outside. Sow 2-3 seeds per cell/pot. Provide 70-75ºF soil temperatures. Transplant after last frost, 4-6” apart.
Sowing Outdoors: After last frost. Sow a few seeds every 2-3” apart.

Harvest: Start clipping tips at 6"
Tips: Plant Saltwort Greens in average to sandy soil amended with compost. Provide adequate, even moisture for the best growth, especially from the middle to end of summer. Mulching helps retain moisture.
