A woody perennial with unusual grey-green leaves that are finely lobed and fluted. Rue may grow to 3 feet and is beautiful used as an ornamental. Leaves are very aromatic and taste bitter; said to repel fleas and mosquito's and flowers are small and yellowish-green. Take care when tending to the plant; the essential oil in the leaves when exposed to sun can cause skin reactions.

Germination:  7-21 days

Seed Planting Depth: on the surface, lightly cover

Starting Indoors/Outdoors:  Start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Provide 70-75 degree soil temperatures. Transplant 12-24" apart. 

Light Needs:  Full sun to light shade

Soil Needs: Rue needs fertile and well-drained to rocky soil.
