This is an old time Maine variety that was recovered by the Heirloom Seed Project at Medomak Valley High School. The color is that traditional deep, deep maroon with a white throat but President Tyler flowers weeks in advance of other morning glories on very vigorous vines. I remember planting my tender little seedlings in May, babying them along, watering every day, and now in September I wonder if I will be able to get the vines off the wall with a machete. Ipomea is a remarkable plant. Soak or notch seeds before planting. 20 seeds
