Our lettuce mix includes over a half dozen varieties that we offer. A couple of each loose Leaf, butterhead, and romaine types with a variety of colors, textures, tastes, and maturation times. We like to grow this mix not just for full-sized heads but for baby greens as well, just sow seeds closely together in rows (50-60 seeds per foot) and harvest at 3-4”. Sow every 14 days for a continuous supply of greens all season. This has become our best selling item.

Approximately 15,000 seeds

Lactuca sativa

Great germination and growth

I bought 10+ different varieties of lettuce. I usually start the seeds in my small hydroponic and then transplant them to the garden. So far, I would say 90%+ germination, except for one type that I didn't keep track of. They have gone into the garden fine and have been great through what has been a harsher than normal winter for us (middle Georgia), but still no snow or hard frost. No full 24 hours below freezing. With each warm day, they grow more. I have not gotten to experience how they do with heat.

I had to wait for a very long time to get the seeds. They germinated quickly and grew well in the cooler weather. I have sown every 3 weeks. The all-green lettuces are healthier and tastier than the green ones with red flecks. I would not order this mix again.

Can't Believe I Waited So Long!

I have been a Pinetree customer for many years and never pulled the trigger on this lettuce mix, in spite of its fantastic reviews. I am so impressed. I planted the seed densely for baby "cut and come again" lettuces. I have "cut and come again" at least four or five times and there is still usable lettuce out there! These lettuces grow very quickly and it is a very pretty mix of varieties.

Have always been satisfied with the service and the seeds I have received from this company. Have enjoyed many salads from this mix with enough to share with the pet goats. We are all very happy.
