Pinetree Lettuce Mix - 1/2 ounce Packet
The PinetreeĀ Lettuce Mix includes over a half dozen varieties that we offer. A couple of each loose Leaf, butterhead, and romaine types with a variety of colors, textures, tastes, and maturation times. We like to grow this mix not just for full-sized heads but for baby greens as well, just sow seeds closely together in rows (50-60 seeds per foot) and harvest at 3-4ā. Sow every 14 days for a continuous supply of greens all season. The Pinetree Lettuce Mix has become our best selling item.

Germination:Ā 4-10 days
Germination Temperature:Ā Optimum soil temperatures 60-70ĀŗF. Soil temperatures above 75 ĀŗF inhibit germination.
Seed Sowing Depth:Ā Ā¼ inch deep
Starting Indoors:Ā Ā Start 3-4 weeks before planting outside.Ā Sow 2-3 seeds per cell/pot, thinning to one per cell/pot. Provide 60-70ĀŗF soil temperatures. Transplant out, 8-12ā apart in rows 12ā apart.
Sowing Outdoors:Ā Spring when the soil temperature reaches at least 50ĀŗF. Sow 1ā apart, thin to 6-12ā, depending on the size of lettuce you want, baby to full heads. Keep soil moist during germination. Sow every 2-3 weeks for a longer harvest period. Sow heavy seeded rows every 10-14 days for baby greens using the 1/2 oz. Pinetree Lettuce Mix.

Tips:Ā The Pinetree Lettuce Mix needs fertile soil for optimum growth. Work in compost or well-rotted manure into your soil before planting. Provide adequate, even moisture for the best growth. Mulching helps retain moisture.
