I bought his one to replace one that I had lost - that I bought from Pinetree years ago. I thought it was just like my old one, but it is less curved, which makes it a little less effective in digging into my flowerbeds and planters. I would have preferred the more curved one. However, it still worked, and came in very handy.
This is my favorite hand tool of all time. It is sturdy--I've had mine for 15 years now. It is great at loosening soil, digging trenches for seeds, scooping and smoothing soil, and benetrating through **** roots and pulling them to the surface. I love it so much, it is one of my favorite things to give as a gift to my gardening friends. The angle, point, and scooped edge are designed exactly right. I really love this little tool and recently bought myself a second one--so I can have one always at hand wherever I am in the garden.
I have used one of these for years and it's the only hand tool that I use. I bought this one as a replacement for my many years old favorite, and it works just as well. It's a unique design so you can cut through compacted dirt, dig, and move dirt with it. Just the best! And I've also shopped with Pinetree for years for heirloom veg seeds. They're the best too!
Awesome tool in my garden bucket of tools! Gets in tight spots. So impressed, bought one as a gift for a friend.
This is a replacement for the one my daughter “borrowed “. I abandoned most of my other hand tools in favor of this years ago. It will dig out deep runners and delicately **** around tender plants. It’s perfect for prep work, planting, and weeding. Absolutely serious when I say that it is my tool of choice 90% of the time. (Yes, you still need a shovel, a rake, and clippers, but not much else)
