Oriental Garden Tool

7
One of our favorite tools in the garden. The blade is seven inches long and convex, like that of a plow with a sharp point broadening to a width of 3 inches. Terrific for digging, because the sharp point cuts deep, but the smooth surface of the blade gently pushes the soil to the surface to trench rows. Great for digging holes for plants and bulbs. Hand-forged and designed for right-handed people, an all-around must have for gardeners.

Korean Homi the best garden tool ever

I use my Korean homi hand hoe more than any other garden tool I have. It's easy to make rows for planting, then turn the dirt over and cover and firm down. It's also great for weeding close to the plants without damaging them, or for deep digging at stubborn roots. I love it so much that I bought one each for my grown adult daughter just starting her first garden and another new gardening friend.

Oriental Garden Tool

I sadly did not look at the photo close enough. The Oriental garden tool that this was to replace has a curve in the handle to make a smoother motion for using.

Best Garden Tool Ever

This is my favorite garden tool, bar none. It loosens soil, it digs deep to pullout weeds, it makes troughs for planting, and it smooths the soil again, all with the same basic action. It is very durable, resists rust, and is just the right shape. I have had mine for over 10 years and LOVE it still. I love it so much, I have purchased additional for presents to give to gardening friends. It does look a bit intimidating, which made for an awkward moment when I gave one to my son's garden loving teacher. My mother calls hers the "lethal weapon", but uses it constantly too. I have never seen one for sale anywhere else so I hope Pinetree never stops selling these.
