A unique peony flowered aster. Large flowers open with nearly pure white blooms that include a slight hint of pink on the tips. As flowers mature the tips become more vividly colored with a deeper magenta pink. The bushy 2 1/2 foot plants produce an abundance of stems for cutting. An ideal choice for bridal bouquets at late summer weddings. 70 seeds
Germination: 7-21 days
Seed Planting Depth: On surface, press in and cover lightly
Starting Indoors/Outdoors: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Provide 65-70 degree soil temperature. Sow outdoors around last frost, 1/8" deep.
An elegant addition to the cutting garden. Mine are just beginning to open on Labor Day in zone 3-4. Each plant is producing 3-4 large blossoms on long stems, in less than ideal growing conditions. A lovely, semi-exotic looking flower.
