The name is what drew us to this viola at first, then it impresses up with it animated blooms. Honeybee has a unique pattern on its petals in shades of golden-yellow, honey and copper. Plant in spring or fall.  (F1 Hybrid)

PLANTING

Perennial to zone 6

Germination:  5-14 days

Seed Planting Depth:  Cover lightly to 1/8" deep

Starting Indoors:  Start indoors 8-12 weeks before the last frost. Provide 65-70 degree F soil temperature. Transplant into the garden after the last frost. Water seedlings regularly until established. 

Outside Sowing:  Early spring, late summer through autumn in areas with mild winters.

Height and Width:  6-8” x 6-8”

Spacing: 6"

Light Needs :  Full sun, part sun in hot climates

Soil Needs : Rich, moist and well drained

Approximate days to flower from seed:65-70 days

Uses:  Borders and beds,containers and hanging baskets, cottage gardens, planting under shrubs and trees, edible flowers.

Care: Mix compost or well rotted manure into the soil before transplanting. Deadheading prolongs flowering. Fertilized every few weeks with a balanced fertilizer.
