For planting in Fall of 2019

Shipping starts the last week of September!!

SORRY, WE CANNOT SEND FALL TUBERS AND PLANTS TO ALASKA, HAWAII, AND FOREIGN COUNTRIES

Hardneck- porcelain type. A fiery garlic with giant cloves. Garlic lovers say this one is extra spicy when eaten raw, with a full-bodied, pure garlic aftertaste. Bulbs are covered in buff colored skin and the cloves have maroon streaks. Stores well, into early spring. Planted in composted amended soil the 1 ½ -2-inch bulbs will produce hearty sized bulbs the next season. Don't forget to harvest and eat the scapes (Soup, Pesto, Hummus) the following spring or leave a few onto produces bulblets for planting next fall.

                                                             3 bulbs per order

Grown in soil tested free of garlic bloat nematode.

Just planted it this Fall

I’ll find out next summer. I prefer porcelain garlic like Georgian Fire because I am 82 years old and don’t have the stamina to peel all the small cloves in the bulbs most commonly encountered. So far, my experience with porcelains is only with Georgian Fire and German White, which I planted in 2017 and didn’t grow well where I planted it — cloves quite small.
