LIVE PLANT

SHIPS MID MARCH THROUGH END OF APRIL

SORRY, WE CAN NOT SEND SPRING TUBERS AND PLANTS TO ALASKA, HAWAII AND FOREIGN COUNTRIES

We are always searching for the perfect, most versatile grape to fill the needs of our customers. We believe this grape to be one of the best. The phenomenal grape flavor is slightly acidic, superb for juices and jellies and a labrusca style wine. It is dark blue, nearly black in color with high yields of cone shaped clusters of small to medium sized grapes. A larger fruit size can be achieved with more zealous pruning. A dynamic grower, perfect for creating arbors and natural fences. Potential to grow up to 25’ in two years. Self-pollinating. Zone 3.

PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS:

Plant in well-drained soil, high in organic matter, 2" deeper than the crown of the plant. Each plant should be about 5'-6' apart in rows running north to south for best sun exposure. Do not over-fertilize during the growing season but, keep well mulched to prevent roots from drying out.

The one that survived looks great!

I purchased two grape vines from Pinetree Garden Seeds. One of the plants didn't look like it had much life in it when it arrived, while the other had little leaves that were starting to sprout. I planted both in the same location and while the one plant is growing well, the other was really DOA. I'm looking forward to getting fresh grapes off of this vine!
