Grandeur Tomato (F1 Hybrid 75 Days)

An early red oblate shaped cluster tomato with 5 to 7 fruits per bunch and 6 to 9 oz firm meaty tomatoes. A vigorous grower, long yielding with large leaves that help with the resistance to cracking. Resistance to verticillium, fusarium races 1&2, tobacco mosaic, and root-knot nematode.

15 seeds

Solanum lycopersicum

Germination: 7-14 days

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 70-85ºF.

Seed Sowing Depth: 1/4” deep

Starting Indoors: 6 weeks before the last frost. Provide 75-80ºF soil temperatures. Sow 2-3 seeds per cell/pot, thin to the strongest seedling, or use the 20 Row seedling flat, transplanting into individual pots when seedlings get their 3rd set of leaves. Fertilize the seedlings every 7-10 days with a liquid or water-soluble fertilizer, diluted to ¼ of the suggested measurement. Transplant out after the last frost. Space 24-36" apart

Sowing Outdoors: Only in areas with very long growing seasons. Sow after the last frost.

Harvest: When fruit is red (or color of the variety planted) and firm.

Tips: Plant in fertile soil, amended with compost, mulch, and provide even moisture. Plant deeper than they were growing in the containers as it makes a stronger roots system. Apply a light compost tea every few weeks. Do not apply excessive nitrogen, which can promote excessive foliage and poor fruit set.

Mutated Tomatoes

Shopping with Pinetree has always been great. We are not sure what went wrong with our tomatoes. They look mutated and most were small. Perhaps it was the heat.

Pinetree Garden Seeds

Hello Susan, It definitely has been a trying year for all of us gardeners with this extended heat wave! This is certainly one of the factors involved with smaller, mutated tomatoes. I recommend a shade cover if possible on really hot days when the fruits are young and green. We are here to help in anyway we can. Happy Gardening! Matthew

Sturdy plants

Vigorus plants, large fruits, more leaves on top would help with sun scald as tops stayed green.

Best seed sellers online!

The photo presentation, transaction online, shipping time, packaging seals, and seed quality are well worth the slightly premium price tag. The seeds I bought from Pinetree significantly outperformed other seeds that I purchased at a local nursery shop as well as outperforming the seeds I bought at home depot (mass market seeds at lower quality). Pinetree goes all the way to support their products. Charming folks there will respectfully and patiently talk with you in person or on the phone from another state just like a friendly caring neighborhood friend.
