This variety provides a fine flavored early crop with cutting possible the first year after sowing. The bright red stems are somewhat slender and, of course, will provide decades of cutting.

update

Rhubarb tastes great. Very much like a good Granny Smith apple. I eat rhubarb like some folks eat celery, and it is wonderful to have this lower acid rhubarb around for a quick break while working in the garden. Seems to be best tasting in most sun.

Good looking rhubarb!

These seeds sprouted sooner than expected, and most grew very quickly into nice looking mostly cherry red stalked rhubarb. I got 22 seeds, 11 sprouted. 8 grew phenomenally fast (16" tall at 9 wks). 3 are runts at 1/2"-3" but they are growing fine. A couple are more green than red, but majority were red. I used fish emulsion with every watering. Haven't tasted these yet, but they look great.
