Standard plant seen in nurseries that is easy to grow yourself. Velvety textured, silver-white oak-shaped leaves have a calming effect when planted among vibrant annuals in mixed containers and flower gardens. Moderately heat tolerate once established and deer resistant. Prefer a sun location but can handle some shade especially in hot areas. Needs good drainage. Usually treated as an annual but Hardy to zone 7.

Germination: 14-21 days

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 70-75ºF

Seed Planting Depth: Sow on surface and press into soil, seeds need light to germinate

Starting Indoors:  Start indoors 6-12 weeks before the last frost. Provide 70-75ºF soil temperature for germination. Transplant 6-12” apart after the last frost. 

Sowing Outdoors:  Direct sowing is not recommended

Care: Pinching back early promotes more leaf growth. Drying- hang fresh cut foliage upside down in a dark room with good airflow.
