LIVE ROOT

SHIPS MID MARCH THROUGH END OF APRIL

SORRY, WE CANNOT SHIP TUBERS AND PLANTS TO: AK, HI, ID, APO, PR, CANADA and FOREIGN COUNTRIES.

Dahlias are grown for their gorgeous, colorful flowers that bloom from midsummer through autumn. They are stunning in patio containers or flower gardens and start blooming when most perennials begin to fade, offering fantastic late-season color. These dahlias are the large-flowered type, referred to as dinner plate dahlias, and grow to 3-4 ft tall. They require staking to support the tall foliage and large flowers and can be pinched back to produce bushier plants with smaller flowers.

Creme De Cassis has 6-8” lavender flowers with dark purple undersides

1 tuber $9.95

 2 or more $8.50  each

PLANTING

Plant in full sun. Plant outdoors after your last frost date. You can pot up dahlia tubers a few weeks early to bring on earlier blooms. Plant tubers so the crown is at or just below the surface. Plant in rich, well-drained soil. For heavy clay soil amend with sand and compost for better drainage. They are considered a tender perennial and grown as an annual in zone 8 and below. You can simply dig up the tubers in the fall, store for the winter, and replant the following spring.

Dahlia Creme de Casis

Beautiful plant with beautiful flowers. Always have good experiences with Pinetree. I like the smaller packet sizes they offer.

Most beautiful dahlia from Seed!

I am overwhelmed with the dahlias I grew from these Pinetree seeds. Germination was 100% and the plants are vigorous. The the 'Creme de Cassis' blooms are stunning and keep coming. I'll be purchasing more for next year.

Up First

I have loads of dahlias. This was the first to bloom, beautiful, but suffered in the heat! Understandable, it is near a rock wall. I’ve mulched it in more, looking forward to more purple and cream blooms. 4-5” across.
