SHIPS MID MARCH THROUGH END OF APRIL
SORRY, WE CANNOT SEND TUBERS AND LIVE PLANTS TO ALASKA, HAWAII, AND FOREIGN COUNTRIES
'Ramona' reaches 10'-12' tall and has beautiful large lavender-blue flowers with red stamens. Flowers are 6"-8" wide. Blooms July, August and September. Ramona blooms on both new and old wood and is considered a ‘Group 2’ clematis when it comes to pruning. This means it needs very little pruning except to remove dead areas or neaten up the plant and is best done in late winter or very early spring. Sun to part shade. Z 4-8. (2 Year Dormant).
Plant in well drained soil amended with compost. Provide a trellis for upward growth. Roots like to be kept ‘cool’ and this is accomplished by placing stones at base, mulching or planting a ground cover around the base of the plant. But the most practical way is to simply not let the root system get dry and keep them well watered (but not standing water please).
