Onion-like flavor comes from the robust stems which are generally chopped finely and great to add to almost any savory dish; use in sour cream, cream cheese, soups, and on your morning eggs, etc. The light lavender flowers can be added to your favorite salad, just break the head apart. Starting Indoors/Outdoors: Start indoors 6-8 weeks  before last frost.Provide 65-75 degrees soil temperatures.Transplant seedlings in clusters 6-12" apart. Sow outdoors in spring when soil temperatures reach 60-65 degrees. Sow a few seeds every 2-3" , thinning to 6-12" apart.
