A sensational perennial for the pollinator garden. Stems of periwinkle blue flowers grace the aromatic gray-green foliage. Fragrance is enhanced when the stems are broken, an attractant to cats, hence the common name of Catmint. Thrives in difficult gardening areas with little maintenance. Consider placing it in a rock garden or allow it to cascade over a wall or container. Cut stems back about ⅔ after flowering to keep the habit neat and encourage a repeat bloom. Winner of the Perennial Plant Association plant of the year. Grows to 30 inch. Zone 3-8. Bare root.
Grow in full to part sun. Plant in average, well drained soil. Tolerant of dry soil and drought conditions. Plant in a location that receives afternoon shade in hot southern climates. Provides early season color for perennial gardens. Use in rock, cottage, border and xeriscape gardens.
