Braising Greens Mix (1 oz)
The Braising Greens Mix emphasizes a variety of mustards, kale, and tatsoi. "Braising" is a method of cooking tender vegetables in a minimum amount of water or liquid, sometimes just to the point of wilting them. The result with this mix is a spicy one and will enhance your diet year-round.

PLANTING
Germination: 3-7 days
Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 70-75ºF.
Sowing: Sow the seeds very close together. 1/8-1/4" apart. Press into the soil, cover lightly
What To Grow In: Directly in the garden or for micro/baby greens use seed starting trays, 20 row seedling flat, or any sort of low, flat container
Soil: Use a regular potting mix or soilless medium or grow directly in the garden
Lighting: Adding supplemental lighting with grow lights during the winter will help with stronger, less leggy growth. They can easily be grown in the garden, on a deck/patio, or even in a sunny spot in your house during the rest of the year.
Days to Harvest: 7-10 days microgreens, 20-30 baby greens
Harvest: Microgreens-Start cutting when the first true leaves appear or when they reach 1 1/2-2 inches. Baby greens- cut at 3-4"
Growing Tips: Maintain good airflow for the Braising Greens Mix by not over sowing seeds and by watering lightly. Over-watered soil and overly dense sowing with no air flow can cause damping off. For a continuous harvest of micro greens sow every 7-10 days.
