Ballerina white. Introduced by Dutch grower, Sahin in 1998, the upward facing, trumpet-like blooms of this datura can be 8 inches in length. They provide a double, bloom within a bloom, appearance with the swirling petals making this a very complicated trumpet indeed. In the garden Ballerina will grow to a height of 3 feet, less if grown in containers. Makes a wonderful container plant. Hardiness is only certain to zone 8 although we've occasionally had survivors in zone 5. So if you do plant this in a container, bring it in to a cool place prior to cold temps. outdoors.
