SUNGOLD TOMATO (F1 hybrid 60 days)

Indeterminate. Great "tomatoey" flavor and very sweet, an 8 on the brix scale. Fruits are nearly 1 inch round globes which turn a very attractive golden orange when ripe. Productive vines provide very high yields. A customer favorite! 15 seeds.

PLANTING:

Indoors- 6 weeks before last frost, 1/4” deep with soil temperatures 75 degrees. Liquid fertilize seedlings every 7-10 days. Transplant out 24-36” apart after last frost when soil is 55-60 degrees and night temperatures are over 45 degrees.

Harvest- When fruit is red (or color of the variety planted) and firm.

Tips- Plant in fertile soil, amended with compost, mulch and provide even moisture. Plant deeper than they were growing in the containers as it makes a stronger roots system. Apply a light compost tea every few weeks. Do not apply excessive nitrogen, which can promote excessive foliage and poor fruit set.

Delicious

These tomatoes are my favorite. Every year when I eat the first one, I always say, "It tastes like Summer." The best tomato ever! And they are so easy to start from seed. Great service and great turn around time.

Can’t beat the taste

I have grown this selection for years...summer would not be the same without them! We pick tons off the vigorous vines and eat them like candy. The only drawback is they are very prone to cracking. We don’t care; the taste outweighs that annoyance. But, just something a market gardener might want to consider.

So Sweet

I have been growing these for several years and they are so sweet and delicious. The plants can get very tall and might split if not picked in time but it is worth it. The tomatoes come early and that is important here in northern Maine. If you like a sweet tomato, this is unbeatable. I have also grown it is my heated greenhouse in the winter with moderate success but even a few in January is worth the space. Love these guys.

Sungold

Haven't started my seedlings yet; however, have ordered other tomato seeds from Pinetree before and always more than 100% pleased with products. I have no doubt these too will be fantastic.
