SUNGOLD TOMATO (F1 hybrid 60 days)

12

Indeterminate. Great "tomatoey" flavor and very sweet, an 8 on the brix scale. Fruits are nearly 1 inch round globes which turn a very attractive golden orange when ripe. Productive vines provide very high yields. A customer favorite! 15 seeds.

PLANTING:

Indoors- 6 weeks before last frost, 1/4” deep with soil temperatures 75 degrees. Liquid fertilize seedlings every 7-10 days. Transplant out 24-36” apart after last frost when soil is 55-60 degrees and night temperatures are over 45 degrees.

Harvest- When fruit is red (or color of the variety planted) and firm.

Tips- Plant in fertile soil, amended with compost, mulch and provide even moisture. Plant deeper than they were growing in the containers as it makes a stronger roots system. Apply a light compost tea every few weeks. Do not apply excessive nitrogen, which can promote excessive foliage and poor fruit set.

Best tasting cherry tomato

This is the gold standard of cherry tomatoes. Mine got a heavy dose of early blight this year but are still producing lots of sweet sun golds. Can't miss with this variety

Tasty tiny fruits

These tomatoes have done really well this year. Huge plants- maybe eight feet tall, and very flavorful, super sweet tomatoes. I have gotten a ton of them- eating them by the handfuls. Fruits are tiny- maybe half an inch, but they are small and mighty.
