Shallot Sets 'Red Sun'
Red Sun Shallots Sets are used widely in gourmet cooking, lending a mild onion with a hint of garlic flavor. Growing shallots from sets in the spring is simple and cost-effective, especially if you already love garlic and onions, plus they store well into the following year, 6 months or more. These shallots are oval with reddish-pink skin and each bulb multiplies into a cluster of 6-10 more bulbs. The green shoots can also be used as a green onion or chive substitute. 1 pound = approximately 20-25 bulbs
