A lemon-scented version of winter savory with a pleasant lemon fragrance and flavor. Harvest before it puts out its pinkish-white flowers in mid to late summer. Use Lemon Savory fresh or dry for storage. Grows to 9-12”.

Perennial, zone 5-8

Germination: 14-30 days

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 65-70ºF.

Seed Planting Depth: Sow on surface and press into soil

Starting Indoors: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Provide 65-70ºF soil temperature. Transplant after last frost, space 8-12" apart. 

Sowing Outdoors: Germination is most successful when started indoors.

Light Needs:  Full sun

Soil Needs:  Lemon Savory needs dry, sandy, well-drained soil

Harvest: Start snipping leaves when the plant reaches 6”. Snip the tips without cutting back all way to the ground. This helps promote more growth. Dry by bundling stems and hanging in a warm, dark well-ventilated area or using a dehydrator
