Yellow Cosmos

We have been searching for a tall yellow cosmos and finally found it. We can’t wait to share it with our fellow gardeners. Gentle flowers sway in the breeze, tempting birds, butterflies, and pollinators alike. We had lots of fun watching the finches dance among the blossoms just outside our door. Petals start out a delicate light yellow and as the plant grows and the season moves on they deepen to a rich butter color. Grows to 4 feet.

Germination: 7-10 days

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 70-75ºF.

Seed Planting Depth: Sow ⅛” deep

Starting Indoors: Start indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost. Provide 70-75 ºF soil temperature. Transplant after the last frost,12-18” apart.

Sowing Outdoors: Direct sow outdoors after the last frost, sow a few seeds every 6", thin 12-18" apart.
