Rattail Radish (50-55 Days)

$ 2.95
Rattail Radish is unlike other radishes growing for its seed pod, not its root. Indigenous to southern portions of Asia, the versatile pods are a staple for many gardeners around the world. The zesty Rattail Radish flavor and snappy texture are adaptable in many recipes. Try experimenting with it. Begin harvesting seed pods at about 2 inches. Keep harvested to extend production throughout the season.

PLANTING

Raphanus sativus

Germination: 5-7 days

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 60-75ºF.

Seed Sowing Depth: 1/2" deep

Sowing Outdoors: Starting in early spring. Sow a few seeds every 6", thin to 12" apart, soon after the seedlings emerge.

Harvest: Start harvesting pods when they are as thick as a pencil or 2-3" long.
