Spicy Italian Greens Mix (1oz)

This mix includes cress, basil, arugula, endive, escarole, radicchio, chicory, and mustard.

1 ounce

Germination: 4-8 days

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 70-75ºF.

Sowing: Sow the seeds very close together. 1/8-1/4" apart. Press into soil, cover lightly

What To Grow In: Directly in the garden or for micro/baby greens use seed starting trays, 20 row seedling flat, or any sort of low, flat container

Soil: Use a regular potting mix or soilless medium or grow directly in the garden

Lighting:  Adding supplemental lighting with grow lights during the winter will help with stronger, less leggy growth. They can easily be grown in the garden, on a deck/patio, or even a sunny spot in your house during the rest of the year.

Days to Harvest: 10-14 days microgreens, 20-30 baby greens

Harvest:Microgreens-Start cutting when the first true leaves appear or when they reach 1 1/2-2 inches. Baby greens- cut at 3-4"

Growing Tips: Maintain good air flow for greens by not over sowing seeds and by watering lightly. Over watered soil and overly dense sowing with no air flow can cause damping off. For a continuous harvest of micro greens sow every 7-10 days.

Easy to plant and have watched it come up. It is mature enough to snip an will be trying it this weekend with and aged balsamic, EVOO and a few other Italian accompaniments. I think it is going to be a unique dish that is appreciated by my guests.
