Bought the Healthy Blend Mix and the Kitchen Sink Mix, combined the seeds together and planted. This evening was our first salad from the combination of the two mixes. What a great salad mix will be doing this for years to come.
I ordered Healthy Blend for my first try at growing microgreens. I grew them indoors in a smallish container in a south-facing window in Iowa in January. Despite the fact that the room wasn't very warm (mid-60's F) and the days were short, the results were pleasing. We got some garnishes and a two small servings of salad. Very tasty and healthy! They were a little leggy due to insufficient light. I look forward to growing them again often when the days are longer.
I planted the green seeds in a tray that was inside a tray. The starting soil was about 2 inches deep. I had good germination and they grew nicely under T-5 bulbs. They made nice salads mixed with cukes and tomatoes. Have stopped growing greens for now. Am growing tomato plants for the garden now.
