Worsted Wool Yarn - Georgia Rose

Peace Fleece – A small New England fiber company with a mission.

“We work to support pastoral communities that have been historically in conflict with the US. Currently we are working with the Navajo to offer fair market prices for the Ramboulliet sheep wool raised by families on the Reservation. Our yarn is made of this wool blended with a domestic fine wool and mohair for strength. We love what we do, and we hope you will too.”

Our selection of Peace Fleece worsted weight wool yarn is offered in a variety of beautiful colors and is blended with mohair and Rambouillet sheep wool from native and non-native American ranchers making it incredibly warm. With washing and use, the yarns will dramatically soften and fluff up. Gauge: 4 stitches per inch on US #8 (5 mm).

I recommend this product
Dust Rose aka Georgia Rose'

My overall experience so far (haven't finished knitting scarf to see how it washes up) with this Peace Fleece yarn and color is completely satisfied. The few intermittent flecks of other colors are barely perceptible, sometimes not at all -- absolutely do not override the beautiful Georgia Rose color (my initial concerns put to rest). Am using size 11 knitting needles (their label recommends #8s, so as yet cannot speak to that). Yarn is a bit coarse - like old world, tho yarn stitches slide well on my bamboo needles. I love the color! I love the yarn. Thank you, Peace Fleece.
