Midnight Snack Tomato (65-70 Days)

An All-America Selections award-winning indigo-type cherry tomato with a traditional and well-balanced flavor. Fruits ripen to a deep redand have a glossy black-purple overlay when exposed to sunlight. The indeterminate vines continuously produce bunches of fruits that mature earlier compared to other indigo-colored varieties. We picked this one because we were impressed by its flavor and abundant yields.

Midnight Snack Tomato (65-70 Days)

Solanum lycopersicum

Germination: 7-14 days

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 70-85ºF.

Seed Sowing Depth: 1/4” deep

Starting Indoors: 6 weeks before the last frost. Provide 75-80ºF soil temperatures. Sow 2-3 seeds per cell/pot, thin to the strongest seedling, or use the 20 Row seedling flat, transplanting into individual pots when seedlings get their 3rd set of leaves. Fertilize the seedlings every 7-10 days with a liquid or water-soluble fertilizer, diluted to ¼ of suggested measurement. Transplant out after the last frost. Space 24-36" apart

Sowing Outdoors: Only in areas with very long growing seasons. Sow after the last frost.

Harvest: When fruit is red (or color of the variety planted) and firm.

Tips: Plant in fertile soil, amended with compost, mulch, and provide even moisture. Plant deeper than they were growing in the containers as it makes a stronger roots system. Apply a light compost tea every few weeks. Do not apply excessive nitrogen, which can promote excessive foliage and poor fruit set.

Very few seeds

Well I tried your seed company for the first time this year. It most likely will be my last. I’ve grown veggies for many years and have ordered seeds from many different seed companies, such as Fedco, Burpee’s, Johnny’s, Harrison’s seeds etc…and what is very noticeable is that Pinetree has the least amount of seeds in their seed packets. Why would anyone continue to purchase seeds from your company if they can get more seeds in a packet for roughly the same price as the other seed companies I mentioned above.

Pinetree Garden Seeds

Hi Chris, We are geared to the small home gardener and we pack our seeds according to that. Most people that have small gardens like the smaller packets because they don't like to have a lot of left over seeds. The other companies are great companies and available for gardeners that like to purchase larger amounts of seeds. If you feel you did not get the correct amount of seeds as stated in our catalog, please let me know and we can replace the packet or refund your account. Thank you and Happy Gardening! Deby

Awesome seeds

Great germination rates and vigorous, huge vine. These were the first to fruit of all 10 verities we planted.
