Inoculant (2.3 OZ)

18 reviews

This granular garden inoculant aids in the growth and production of all varieties of garden beans (except soybeans), peas, and peanuts. It contains billions of live bacteria that are essential in the nitrogen fixing process of garden legume plants. These bacteria when properly placed in the root zone area of the soil, will actively convert atmospheric nitrogen into a usable form for the plant. Therefore enabling the plant to produce its own organic source of nitrogen, leading to lush vine growth and ultimately greater yields. This non-toxic, organic product is dated and should be used by December 31, 2021. Inoculating organisms include: rhizobium eguminosarum, R. phaseoli and other rhizobium species. Treats 4 ounces of peas or beans or a 40 foot row. One 2.3 oz packet.

Expiration Date: December 31, 2021

Innoculant for Beans and Peas - always a good idea!

Using inoculant for beans, peas and legumes in your garden plantings is always a good idea. You should rotate the plants in your garden from year to year and it is usually hard for me to remember what I planted where two years previously. I use the inoculant on legumes just to be sure they have enough bacteria to colonize the roots after germination. Of course this allows the plant to “make” it’s own nitrogen fertilizer. This is a great product to buy from Pinetree.

Inoculant supply

I like to have an inoculant supply on hand (in the refrigerator) so that when I need it I have it. It is not always easy or even possible to buy locally. So I was delighted to see that in addition to seeds I could get inoculant from Pinetree.
