|Short Description||A very popular Hungarian tobacco with a full, rich flavor. The lower half-dozen leaves are used for cigars while the higher leaves are used for pipes and cigarettes. This variety produces immense leaves - 24 to 30 inches in length and 16 inches wide. The tiny seeds are packaged in airtight bags and while the guaranteed minimum is 50 seeds, most packets contain well over a hundred. The seeds should be started indoors quite early in the spring and transplanted in the same way as eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, etc. Plants can grow to over 5 feet so each plant merits a couple square feet of space.|
- Excellant results Review by Susan
- Good germination and strong healthy seedlings yielded excellent mature plants. The leaves are quite large and the smokers (not me, I grow for other family members) use all of the leaves for cigarettes and like this variety a lot. (Posted on 5/24/14)
