    PERON TOMATO (68 days)

    Semi-determinate. This remarkable tomato was developed by Professor Abelardo Piovano of the National University of Argentina. Its less interesting other name is "Sprayless". Peron is thought to be the most naturally insect resistant tomato of all and thrives in areas where all tomatoes need to be sprayed against insects, without any chemical intervention. The 8 ounce red fruit have a solid, meaty interior and the skin comes off easily without emersion in boiling water. Flavor is mildly acid and Peron is a good keeper.
