  1. Komatsuna Mustard Spinach

    KOMATSUNA MUSTARD SPINACH(52 days)

This is the most bolt-resistant Asian brassica that we have encountered. We harvested leaves from the three foot plants from June to October. Flavor is mild and sweet with just a touch of zesty pungency. Leaves can be used in the stead of both the heading Chinese Cabbages and the milder mustards in soups, stir-fries, with meats and sauces. Also makes a piquant addition to a salad. 60 seeds Learn More

  2. Red Giant India Mustard

    RED GIANT Mustard (30 days)

Also referred to as Giant Japanese or Miike Purple, this easy to grow, vigorous brassica adds piquancy to salads and is good in stir-fries, quickly boiled, or pickled. Plant early in the spring or in mid-summer for fall harvests (about 1/4" deep). Plants will grow a foot tall with large, slightly fringed leaves of a deep purplish-red. They are winter-hardy and slow to bolt. Indian mustard is relatively unbothered by either insects or diseases. The flavor is mustardy but not really "hot" until it starts to bolt. In addition to spicing up salads, try a few leaves on a sandwich for the mustard flavor. 100 seeds Learn More

  3. Red Streaked Mustard

    RED STREAKED MUSTARD (20-45 days)

One of our favorite trials this year! The deeply serrated fringy baby leaves are purple-red and pack a zingy peppery flavor that gets bolder with age. Great to plant along with other baby greens to add some flare to a salad. It is slow to bolt but best planted in spring or fall. 100 seeds. Learn More
