One of the easiest flowers to grow, it makes an excellent choice for a child's garden. Flowers are early, prolific, and produce an abundance of blooms in the white-rose-red spectrum. The flowers are right in the leaf axils. This double flower is more impressive than the single varieties.

Germination: 5-10 days

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 65-70ºF

Seed Planting Depth: Sow on the surface and press into soil, seeds need light to germinate

Starting Indoors: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Provide 65-70ºF soil temperature. Transplant after last frost, 8-12” apart

Sowing Outdoors:  Direct sow after the last frost, 4-5 seeds every 10-12".

Spacing: 8-12" apart

Light Needs:  Part shade to shade

Soil Needs: Fertile, well-drained

Care: Water seedlings regularly until established. Amend soil with compost before transplanting. Pinch back at 4-6" to encourage more branching. Self-seeds.
