Sweet, plump and juicy is the best way to describe these dark black berries. The 5-10 foot arching canes can produce up to 20 pounds each. Even though they look ripe the most luscious and enjoyable flavor is when the berry removes from the calyx easily. The thornless canes make for an easy harvest. Great for beginners, Zones 5-8.
The delicate flavor of raspberries and blackberries picked from wild bushes is a wonderful childhood memory for many of us. Ensure yourself a fresh supply by growing your own.
Planting: We ship bare-root canes, which should be planted 3 feet apart, a bit deeper than the root crown. Prune old canes at the end of the growing season. Tip: Prune new shoots in spring to keep manageable. DO NOT PLANT raspberries or blackberries WITHIN 100 FEET OF BLACK raspberries.
